About The Norfolk LGBT History Society
The Society's Origins & Purpose
LGBT History Month in Norwich and Norfolk has been going 4 years and has been supported by councils, unions, community groups, local businesses and generous individuals. It is coordinated by the Norfolk LGBT History Society, a charity set up to further the work of LGBT education throughout the year. Further details about our aims and objectives. The Society has a constitution and is organised by a management team consisting of the Chair(s), Secretary, Treasurer, Publicity, Events, Press and other officers and numerous hardworking volunteers and supporters.

Funding & Sponsorship
We are constantly in need of sponsorship and fundraising in order to expand our work, fund our current activities and enable the promotion of relevant LGBT projects. Please contact us if you can offer any help. We are extremely grateful to Norfolk County Council for funding the 2011 Norfolk LGBT Project bursaries and helping towards the cost of our 2012 Pre-Launch/Bursary event held at the Forum on 12 September 2011. Norfolk LGBT History Month 2011 would not have happened were it not for the generosity of sponsors such as Gordon Dean Solicitors and the Malaysian Delights Restaurants in Norwich.
*LGBT is an inclusive term representing Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans(gender). It also includes other groups relating to sexual orientation or gender identity including Intersex, Queer and more.
